"Be who God meant you to be and you will set the world on fire."
- St. Catherine of Sienna
St. Catherines Academy partners with parents to offer a Christ-centered setting for learning through traditional methods.
The curriculum is challenging yet solid in the fundamentals of catholic teaching. Original source material is used as much as possible to teach and learn what is true, good and beautiful about God, creation and catholicism.
School days are in person with a traditional teacher/student classroom setting. While at home, students require limited technology for communication with teaching staff.
Students have lessons, tests and assignments on campus on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Students are also on campus alternating Fridays for Work Days, including opportunities for Mass, Confession, Adoration and additional outside of the norm educational opportunities.
Students work full days at home on the other three days of the week to complete reading, writing, math, theology, science, Latin, and other assignments.
From a parents point of view, it's like college except they come home at night instead of going to the dorm.
- Kolbe Academy is the foundation of the curriculum.
- Instructors have the freedom to modify and adjust content to meet the needs of their classes.
- Real books and no computers help students focus on the tasks at hand while they are at the building.
- While papers may be typed and email is used for communication outside of school days, there are no virtual lessons.
- The academy accepts new students throughout the school year.
